To print with ThinPrint .print, printers must be associated with ThinPrint ports at the server. The ports are offered by the monitor of the .print Engine. ThinPrint ports are added and configured with the tool .print Port Manager. Up to 300 ports can be created per server. It is, however, unnecessary to create a port for each printer; several printers can be connected to the same port. This white paper introduces you to ThinPrint Ports. Specifically, port properties are explained and tips for optimal configuration are given in this paper.
