The American Diabetes Association (ADA) funds research; publishes scientific findings; provides information and other services to people with diabetes. It wanted to consolidate from 10 databases to one financials system and centralize financial reporting into one database and centralize planning, reporting, budgeting, and financial management for the organization nationwide. The Association selected Oracle Financials as its accounting system and chose Oracle Consulting to lead the implementation. Key to keeping the cost of the implementation down was the use of Oracle Consulting's offshore resourcing. The Association began to experience the benefits of an IT system with automated workflow built on a single database instance.
