This paper describes a model-based system and software development process that combines both function-driven systems engineering and object oriented software engineering. The key part of this "Integrated Process" is the "Bridge" between the two paradigms. Tools chosen to demonstrate the Integrated Process are the I-Logix tools Statemate Magnum, for the function-driven systems engineering, and Rhapsody in C++ for UML-based software engineering.
