PennDOT knew that securing their constituents' sensitive information was critical to the success of their e-government initiatives. Working with a large, complex organization such as PennDOT, which has various departments and interest groups, AMS faced the difficult task of defining the scope and approach of the assessment. AMS developed a security assessment that focused on examining security issues with respect to organizational objectives, security policies, and existing infrastructure assets. After a thorough site survey and exhaustive interviews, AMS presented the existing vulnerabilities, threats, and associated risks to PennDOT's information systems.
