The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), School of Computer Science and Information Technology has remained dedicated to the highest standards of teaching, research and development. The challenge was to maintain network stability whilst minimising support load. To meet their aims, RMIT worked with DyCom, a Gold-level member of the Citrix Solutions Network, to deliver a stable and flexible environment with Citrix MetaFrame software and Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition running on nine Compaq DL360 servers. This enables the School's IT students and staff to embed applications into HTML Web pages for access via Web browsers or any Java-enabled device.
