The IT Manager of a large West Coast correctional facility was tasked with finding a better way to track, manage and produce inmate identification. The goal was to speed and streamline his inmate identification process, reduce inmate back up during the enrollment process and remove scissors and heated laminating units from the inmate processing area. The solution was ImageWare's flagship product IWS Law Enforcement, a software system that captures and stores inmate, visitor and employee images and data- all in separate databases. After implementing IWS Law Enforcement, inmate processing times were dramatically reduced, ID production costs decreased and the overall security of the facility was improved.
