Aurora Public Libraries is a public library system in Illinois. Aurora Public Libraries wanted an easy-to-manage and cost-effective solution that would give patrons rapid and convenient access to a variety of services, programs, and facilities. Aurora Public Libraries installed 58 Winterm units with software running Ameritech Library Services Dynix automated library applications, Microsoft Office, and Eudora Light email for library staff, and online reference software for staff and patrons such as Infonautics Corporation's Electric Library. Aurora Public Libraries saved approximately $66,000 in the initial purchase of client devices and experienced additional savings in ongoing maintenance.
