Tourism production is currently dominated by large international tour operators that propose prepackaged standardized tours. The so-called alternative tourism area has to take up the challenge of sustainable development, through early detection of customers' unsatisfied wishes, in order to propose original and customized tourism offers. Semantic Web Technologies are the core of the Hi-Touch platform; they are used to store and structure knowledge on customers' expectations and tourism products. This knowledge can thus be processed by machines as well as by humans in order to find the best matching between supply and demand.
