Time Warner Cable is based in New York City. The challenge was to upgrade the operations of a high-volume call center to support the roll out of advanced services to more than 1.2 million customers. The solution was to create a virtual network call center or a "thin client application" and to develop and deploy a "thin client" software environment for customer care and billing (CC&B). Collaborative project brought vendors CSG Systems, Inc. and Sun Microsystems together to create a high-tech operation consisting of leading customer care and billing applications and a virtual networked call center.
