Emerging simulation, modeling and 3D visualization technologies (3D-SMV) could be used to dramatically improve how America prepares for, responds to and recovers from disaster across federal, state, and local lines. The Homeland Defense Center Network (HDCN) is capitalizing on emerging 3D simulation, modeling and visualization (3D-SMV) technologies to develop tools and content to support federal, state, and local emergency response planning, training and decision-making. The HDCN is a collaboration between technology leaders, including Eon Reality and the Advanced Technology Institute, and Homeland Defense Centers across the nation.
