Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) provides local government services to 250,000 citizens in the North of England. The business challenges were to replace department-centric service delivery model, transform fragmented, outmoded technology infrastructure, adhere to central government 2005 eGovernment service delivery targets and reduce cost. The solution was implementation of Siebel Public Sector applications in 16 weeks among 120 Council staff to create citizen-centric, multi-channel service delivery model. The benefits were response to 12,600 environmental inquiries within three months of launch, reduction in response time, enhanced citizen satisfaction, increased employee productivity and motivation and reduced cost of service delivery.
