Gresham, Oregon is the largest suburb of Portland. The challenge was to provide more back-end horsepower for running the city's emergency response analysis software and budgeting software. The solution was to deploy a cluster of Dell PowerEdge 2550 servers and PowerVault 210S storage running Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. Solution runs critical emergency response analysis software and supports Gresham's simultaneous users. Allows more workers to be involved in the budgeting process, resulting in more accurate forecasts.
