The MirrorBit cell is a breakthrough in NOR Flash memory cell architecture that enables a Flash memory to hold twice as much data as standard Flash, without compromising device endurance, performance or reliability. The MirrorBit architecture is the result of years of research and development on the design, processing, testing and characterization of multi-bit cells that has culminated in AMD's patented MirrorBit architecture. The focus of this paper is to explain the methodology and testing employed to characterize and qualify the reliability of MirrorBit based Flash products.
