A large South African Bank was challenged to meet the compliance requirements set forth by the Basel II Capital Accord. The bank also needed a consolidated Basel II implementation plan, as well as a solid understanding of the impact of Basel II on its IT architecture and systems. The Accenture team defined an approach and governance structure to execute the group-wide Basel program over the next four years. With Accenture's help, the bank now has a clear understanding of what is required to become Basel II compliant and is well-positioned to meet its compliance requirements.
