Selfridges is one of the United Kingdom's leading department stores. This retail icon wanted to accelerate its growth by adding several new stores in Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow to its singular flagship store in London. Accenture and Selfridges embarked on a detailed design, build and implementation of the full application architecture, covering point-of-sale, merchandise management, warehouse management and finance systems. Accenture replaced Selfridges' core merchandising system with the Retek Merchandising System (RMS). Through its collaboration with Accenture, Selfridges has daily visibility of margin by store, department and SKU. It can also track inventory by level and location and record cost of sales directly.
