Email Metals Distribution (EMD) is a leading distributor and processor of industrial metals, supplying premium quality products manufactured in its own facilities or sourced through partnerships established with major Australian and international suppliers. The challenges were business integration, establish standardized business processes, systems and management practices, reduce manual effort, reduce operational costs, increase customer service and responsiveness, improve processing order accuracy and provide real-time sales order entry functionality. Accenture worked with Email Metals Distribution (EMD) to help the metals distributor and processor integrate three separate businesses into one. Accenture also helped EMD establish standardized business processes, systems and management practices as well as automate various processes and reduce operational costs.
