The terrorist attacks of September 11th have catapulted the United States armed forces into an imperative transformation period. In order to defeat global, dispersed enemies that pose an eminent threat to homeland security, the military is now focusing on joint force efforts to be supported through information technology. One key component of this emerging technology is agent-based software. This paper describes the agent-based technology systems, which assists in U.S. military transformation.
