Cryptography Simplified in Microsoft .NET

Cryptography is the science of scrambling meaningful characters into non-meaningful characters so as not to be read by people that should not have access to the data. The science of cryptography has been around for many years, even long before computers. With the advent of computers, however, the science was able to produce almost unbreakable codes. Microsoft developed and distributed the Cryptography API in Windows 95. With Microsoft .NET, newly created classes wrap up these sophisticated algorithms into fairly easy-to-use properties and methods. This paper explains how to leverage the Cryptography features in the .NET Framework to protect your data by creating a wrapper.
