Websense has signed a master agreement with Publishing and Broadcasting Limited ('PBL') to become the preferred web filtering and content management supplier for all of the company's subsidiaries. The agreement follows the successful installation of Websense filtering and security software at the Australian magazine publishing group ACP, a PBL subsidiary. For added network security, ACP also installed Websense Premium Groups II and III, databases that protect the user against security threats at the network-level by automatically blocking employee access to Web sites infected with Web-based viruses, malicious mobile code and spyware. The dynamic updating also prevents over-blocking, as access permission is reinstated as soon as a Web site is no longer categorised as infected.
