On July 30, President Bush signed into law the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. As a result of this legislation, the rules have changed dramatically for businesses, their employees, their accountants, their lawyers and, most important, the regulators and prosecutors who oversee their conduct. The new corporate reform law will have far-reaching effects on the way America does business, as well as on the way white collar crime is investigated and punished.
