HCLT decided to automate the testing process with a standard tool solution. Feature, call flow, conformance, integration testing need to be carried out with the help of a test tool, which should be of an easy to use configuration, test execution and reporting mechanism. It should support easy to use APIs to test automation environment around DUT. No manual intervention should be required at DUT, to simulate any specific response. It should be possible to automatically configure/trigger the DUT to behave as per the requirements of the DUT case. The solution to this was HCL's generic VoIP test framework, which is suited for the needs of clients.
