Aurora Public Schools ranks as the sixth-largest school district in Colorado. The challenge is one that every school district faces: How can you give students, teachers, and administrators efficient access to the vastness of Internet resources without risking their exposure to a world of inappropriate content? Aurora Public Schools selected an Internet access and security solution (IAS) from Network Appliance. The NetApp solution incorporates a NetCache appliance equipped with WebWasher's DynaBLocator filtering software. The NetApp NetCache appliance supports the district's T3 connection to the Internet. When a student or teacher accesses a Web page, the NetCache system retrieves the page, serves it, then stores a copy.
