Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) is an aerospace and defense company. Improving the performance and reliability of a critical enterprise system posed a significant technological challenge. System maintenance was losing its flexibility. IAI concluded that NetApp systems represented the most efficient and cost-effective approach. NetApp offered the best capabilities and experience in networked storage solutions. As a result of implementing the NetApp solution concurrently with distributing the Oracle database over several servers connected to the NetApp system, IAI obtained much higher availability, zero failures, sound performance of all systems, more memory for each application, and improved tuning capabilities.
