This document examines how enterprise-class databases may be deployed in grid environments using Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.3 and Oracle10g Database. An overview of the status of Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.3 as a platform for Oracle products is provided. Current benchmarks demonstrating significant performance enhancements running Oracle Database 10g on Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.3 are discussed. The document concludes with a tutorial outlining the steps required to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS v.3 and Oracle10g Database.
