Everbank is a branchless bank that provides 24 hours a day, seven days a week Internet banking services. Since Everbank's beginnings in 1999, it has employed a variety of different tape backup solutions to protect its customers' confidential financial data. However, the bank was never completely satisfied with any of the available tape backup solutions. V2i Protector is a fast and reliable backup and disaster recovery solution from Symantec that gives financial institutions like Everbank the ability to quickly recover from server failures caused by hardware, software or user errors. It utilizes Symantec's Virtual Volume Imaging (V2i) technology to create an exact point-in-time backup image without taking the server offline.
