Texas Utilities (TXU) is a multinational leader in electric and natural gas services, energy trading, energy marketing, telecommunications, and other energy-related services. Texas Utilities' merger with Lone Star Gas caused an increase in the company's volume of remittances - but also created a demonstrable need for the Unisys solution. TXU needed an image solution that could handle the 30 percent increase in payment volume the merger incurred. Unisys provided with Remittance Processing Solution (RPS) - A single-source remittance processing solution for Texas Utilities. With remittance processing solution (RPS), TXU was able to lower its head count by 15 percent and increase its same-day deposits to 98 percent.
