The Anthrax project was launched when a key protein component of anthrax was submitted to the United Devices Global grid powered with the Grid MP platform. The team responsible for this collaborative effort needed to accelerate the process of identifying lead molecular candidates to ultimately develop a treatment for advanced-stage anthrax. The Grid MP platform managed the project with an extensive computing grid made up of the spare compute cycles from over 1.9 million servers and PCs located in over 200 countries.
