The delivery of WiFi / WiMAX services is a rapidly growing capability and requirement. The need to access information with mobility is becoming a reality faster than service providers can provide adequate coverage. However, the ability for service users to roam through a network of partnered service provider access points is increasing service coverage, an important success factor in making 802.1x services a true service offering. Roaming will only succeed if accurate and timely accounting and settlement information is available to partners who deliver these services. This paper has presented a solution to the transport of settlement information between the access providers, venue owner and home service providers that need to share information to deliver a roaming Wireless Public LAN service.
