This paper describes a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) usability study conducted upon selected Personal Screen Call Server (PSCS) based functions. A short introduction to WAP, PSCS, the intended user group, and our methods are given. The paper then identifies the problems such as different terminals and standards encountered. Three user studies or design iterations upon the menu-design of the Personal Number (PN) and a telephone-directory search are described in detail.
