IMS Health collects and processes pharmaceutical data on manufacturers, their products, markets, distribution channels and, ultimately, their consumers. Development was so rapid that the company was soon faced with a problem. Diverse groups within the organisation found it easy to create and publish simple information Web sites, with the result that IMS Health presented many different, inconsistent faces, to the outside world. IMS selected Vignette's content management and personalisation to develop and maintain a dedicated healthcare portal enabling a global Internet presence, consistent look and feel, common content, and multiple languages.
