The Grid approach offer financial markets firms the opportunity to start small and grow. Over time, all applications will run natively in Grid environments. Until the widespread availability of native Grid applications, Grid and Web services can be utilized to Grid-enable key functions of an application or applications, such as derivatives pricing and valuation. All computing and data resources eventually can be merged into an open-standards-based Grid architecture, becoming one large resource pool for a wealth of packaged and custom analytical applications.
