The J2EE Client Provisioning Specification, developed within the Java Community Process (JCP) as JSR 124, aims to provide a framework and APIs for using the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) to provision a variety of clients with applications, services, and other content. A reference implementation (RI) of this technology is available from Sun Microsystems.
