The client a world leader in the manufacture, marketing and sales of electrical and electronic equipment wanted to provide for a short range wireless connectivity option in its next generation of Java enabled mobile phones. MindTree implemented a complete Bluetooth protocol stack and optimized it to run on the target platform efficiently and within the existing memory and power constrains. The HCI and L2CAP layers were developed in ANSI C, while the L2CAP interface, RFCOMM, OBEX were developed in Java. The Bluetooth Java APIs were implemented based on JSR-82 specification using J2ME CLDC.
