The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD), a branch of the City of Detroit government, provides water to more than 4 million customers in Detroit and 125 suburban communities. The challenge for DWSD was to integrate disparate systems into a single, consolidated data infrastructure, and to, quickly deliver information to the managers who need it. TIBCO's business integration and business optimization solutions help the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department improve data access to support 19 staffed locations and supply key DWSD employees with current information regarding plant operations, equipment status, liquid levels, repairs and improvement projects, purchase orders, and other aspects of day-to-day operations.
