Gallo Winery is not only the world's largest winemaker, it's also the most vertically integrated. A decision was made to enlist the help of four Rogue Wave class libraries in development of a mission-critical data-communications application. The specifications for this application included extraordinary levels of speed and reliability. Gallo decided to use the Rogue Wave Tools.h++, Net.h++, Inter.Net.h++, and Threads.h++ libraries. The Data Transfer Agent (DTA), the application provides an integrated way of moving data quickly, reliably and accurately among Gallo's core platforms and systems: the IBM mainframe, one VMS DECAlpha, six Unix servers, two AS/400s, and four Windows NT servers.
