Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is the largest municipally owned utility in the United States delivering utility services to residential and business customers. They implemented a high-capacity, metro-area optical network built with Nortel Networks Optical Enterprise solutions, providing resilient, high-speed services for use by LA city departments, area businesses, competitive carriers, and Internet service providers.
