Kings County, comprised of fourteen distinct school districts in the San Joaquin Valley area of California, continually strives to provide its K-12 community with the latest technology and services to enhance students' educational experience. Kings County is also faced with many obstacles - namely, battling an aging infrastructure and a communications network that could not support the speeds and bandwidth necessary to offer new, emerging services. They evaluated Proxim's Tsunami 480 and Tsunami 100 wireless Ethernet bridges to handle the voice and data backhaul, and the Tsunami MP.11 for the wireless Internet access.
