METROREX, Bucharest's mass transit system, is using RAD's access solutions in its automated subway network. METROREX wanted to provide voice and data connectivity to 50 train stations over SDH. METROREX selected RAD products because they are cost-effective, reliable, support a variety of protocols and interfaces, and - most importantly for mass transit - have excellent emergency backup capabilities. METROREX s access network is built around RAD's R-STM-1 add-drop multiplexer (ADM), Megaplex modular access multiplexer and DXC multiservice access node. This combination of RAD's Multiservice Access Platform (MAP) products allows for the smooth transfer of voice and data over METROREX's SDH ring.
