Colombian voice provider Telenarino wanted to jump on the data bandwagon. Its aim was to provide data services over its existing infrastructure to the entire metropolitan area of Pasto, the city in southwest Colombia in which it operates. Telenarino selected RAD. RAD used existing fiber to establish SDH rings, which provide the capacity and reliability required to accommodate the new data services. RAD xDSL modems installed at the customer sites provide a variety of rates, interfaces and distances. The RAD solution provides 1+1 redundancy protection and redundant E1 links.
