SITA World Travel represents a wide range of foreign airlines, serves thousands of U.S. travel agents and consumers, handles over 10,000 passengers annually and is enjoying unprecedented growth. Fielding thousands of calls daily, SITA's 18 divisions relied on traditional exchanges incapable of transferring calls between offices and lacking in features such as voice mail, call forwarding and conferencing. NETGEAR's ProSafe 24+2 Layer 3 Managed Switch with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) was selected. The ProSafe FSM7326P met demanding criteria that included building VLANS across the switch, packet prioritization and standards-based PoE.
