Midway Independent School District of Waco, Texas serves approximately 5800 students at eight campuses. Students and faculty depend on the District network for instruction and administrative tasks. When a key part of its communications infrastructure needed to be replaced, the District sought an IP infrastructure that could support both voice and data. Midway deployed a Cisco IP Communications Solution to provide wired and wireless voice and data connectivity between its campuses and its administrative headquarters. The Cisco solution has enabled the Midway Independent School District to improve communication across the board, reduce administrative costs, and get parents more involved.
