Its advanced application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) enable high-density Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. With hardware-based support for the IPv6 protocol suite, the Catalyst 6500 Series Supervisor Engine 720 offers scalability for 6NET and other Internet growth initiatives.
