The South Carolina Computer Crime Center is a cooperative effort between the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the United States Secret Service, and the FBI. The Crime Center needed to find a way to simplify the management of data immediately and over the long term. After reviewing the available solutions on the market, the Computer Crime Center chose one presented by Hitachi Data Systems and its Hitachi TrueNorth Channel partner Data Network Solutions (DNS). Based on the Hitachi Thunder 9570V high-end modular storage system and an HDS-NetApp Enterprise NAS Gateway, the solution consolidated storage, improved search times, and increased return on existing infrastructure investment.
