The Criminal Justice Information Control System (CJIC) is Santa Clara County's criminal case history and tracking system. The purpose of the Criminal Justice Information Data Access Web services project is to provide an easy to use, secure, industry standard way for CJIC's "customers" to access CJIC data. Simply put, the goal of this project is to provide a modern industry standards based "face lift" to these transaction services by evolving them to be web services and allowing them to be accessed using the industry standard Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). CJIC allows authorized users to track and obtain data on defendants and cases throughout the local criminal justice process.
