The popularity of the first HP Lights-Out (LO) processors exposed the need to expand their capabilities. The wide acceptance and increased functionality of the HP LO processor resulted in the need to develop a more advanced configuration technique. This paper describes the integration of HP Lights-Out technology with Microsoft Active Directory software to streamline the configuration process and circumvent possible security issues.
