The Carrier Grade cx2600 is a NEBS 3 - qualified Itanium-2-based platform targeted at the most high availability and performance-intensive telecom applications in both network upgrades and new deployments. The cx2600 is especially suitable for the emerging IP-based networks that demand high bandwidth IO (Gb/s) and market-leading compute capability. Applications include HLRs, SCPs, Base Station Controllers, Radio Network Controllers, SIP servers, Signaling gateways, (host-based) media gateways and soft switch control, AAA servers, Parlay gateways, and SMS offload and application servers.
