The System.Collections namespace of the .NET Framework provides several different classes for working with like data. This webcast will examine each of these classes and discuss how they differ in storing, searching, sorting and comparing elements, and consequently when you should utilize a Queue, Stack, ArrayList or Hashtable rather than a BitArray. It will also discuss the use of CollectionBase and DictionaryBase to implement your own strongly-typed collection classes. The presentation will conclude with a look at the more esoteric classes in System.Collections.Specialized like ListDictionary, StringCollection and StringDictionary.
