This paper describes how to use the J2EE Connector Architecture support to create a managed connection between WebSphere for z/OS and CICS Transaction Server, using the CICS ECI resource adapter. This paper also describes detailed instructions on how to prepare IBM's VisualAge for Java and the new WebSphere Studio configurations for use with the CICS ECI resource adapter, and then details how to build an enterprise application using these tools.
