This country's first major rail transit system was ready to make the move from a simple automated ticketing system to the latest technologies. Working with an international ticketing system developer, they listed the specifications for what they wanted to accomplish smart card capability, full-color video display to support detailed passenger information and advertising, and a bright, clear display that is easy to read even in bright sunlight and by people passing in either direction through any rail station gate. From these requirements, Planar's collaborative design team worked side-by-side with the system developer to create the detailed design specification for the display system.
