The BMW WilliamsF1 Team needed to find a solution to avoid a backlog of print work that has often resulted in struggling to produce new components for the BMW WilliamsF1 Team car on time. As part of the comprehensive range of services provided to the BMW WilliamsF1 Team, HP reviewed the design office's requirements for plotting and printing. To eliminate the delays that had become commonplace, HP recommended that the jobs carried out by the large non-HP thermal printers should be divided among multiple smaller printers based on more reliable technology. HP provided the design office with two HP DesignJet 1050C large-format printers, designed for high-volume, high-quality technical printing.
